This case displays an antique Japanese Imari bowl which the client inherited along with several Japanese furniture pieces. At 21 inches in diameter, the bowl includes designs on its bottom side, thus, the client’s wish that the case-back also be in glass. Other requirements were that the case match her existing furniture in style, construction details and color. A successful combination completed in mahogany, a custom stain blend, with oil and varnish finish and wax. |
